Monroe Plumbing & Heating Company is a full service mechanical contracting company specializing in industrial and commercial construction for over fifty-five (55) years. Approximately 50% of our work is commercial and about 50% of our work is industrial. We do not perform residential work.

On the commercial side, our biggest customer is The University of Michigan. For them we have installed chillers, boilers, medical gas systems, laboratory gasses, and complete heating, ventilation, & air conditioning (HVAC) and plumbing systems for multi-story buildings. We were the Mechanical Contractor for a new Parallel Computing Center for the University of Michigan Hospitals, and currently have HVAC service contracts with the University of Michigan at their Dearborn campus and Willow Run facilities.

In Monroe County, we recently completed Chrysler's new South Plant for their World Engine Plant in Dundee. A few years ago, we completed a 358,000 square foot remodel of the Motherhouse for the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary that includes the largest privately financed Geothermal HVAC System in Michigan

In the past ten years, we have completed new high schools in Chelsea, Milan, and Ecorse, and we also completed the plumbing systems (including the aquarium piping) for the largest retail store in the State of Michigan, Cabela's in Dundee.

On the industrial side, our customers include DTE Energy, Chrysler, Guardian Industries, Holcim, Inc., Heidtman Steel Products, Inc., Michigan Paving & Materials Co., MCS Energy , and Mac Steel. We have also completed large water supply and sewage treatment jobs for the cities of Milan, Monroe, & Luna Pier, the Villages of Carleton & Dundee, and Frenchtown & Berlin Townships.

We have a professional engineer (PE) on staff, and have performed design-build projects for many of our customers, including Detroit Edison, Mercy Hospital, Federal Mogul, Dearborn Generation, St. Mary's Catholic School and Floral City Beverage. We have Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) capabilities.

Current jobs in progress include: Acute Care Fit-up at University of Michigan's Cardiovascular Center, Additions & Renovations to Mercy Memorial Hospital System in Monroe, St. Joseph Mercy Health System in Ann Arbor and Saline, University of Michigan Art Museum, and the University of Michigan North Campus Auditorium.

We have an excellent service department, and offer twenty-four (24) hour emergency service. We recover and reclaim refrigerant, troubleshoot control and electrical problems, and service & maintain a variety of HVAC/Plumbing/Refrigeration systems and equipment.
